Need to find an answer about Windows 10??? Just open this book and find the answer quickly! As your reading and looking at the pictures it takes you step by step 1, 2, 3. making it EASY TO LEARN. or go back over to find something youmissed. Colorful pictures are a good visual to look at as you read thenumbered instructions. It's making what seems to be hard to understand,as easy as opening up this book and finding its not hard to learn!
I got a great deal of information from this ebook. The many graphics really made the text much clearer. Windows has really become a challenge since XP and this book made some sense of a number of the foggy parts of the puzzle.
Purchased this for our neighbor, who is in her 80's. She uses it well - as would any one younger! Great photos and easy to understand step-by-step instructions. Recommend.

A great starter book. Paul McFedries is one of my favorite technical authors (Since Win 98 Unleashed!). He's done a great job here. I've avoided Win 8/10 for a long time, but now I need to use Win 10 at work. This book got me started on the right foot.Next, I'm reading Windows 10 In Depth, which is another McFedries title.Best part...a great intro to OneNote!
From what I have read so far in the book, I am seeing simple and easy ways to use my computer with Windows 10. Putting a manuel in the box would have been easier but what does HP know ? Just like my kindle fire, no instructions but went by my previous kindle to connect.
Save your money. The index sucks. Look for "Backup" under B. It ain't there. Look for "Getting Started," you get TWELVE get starteds...which one do you select to get started? One has to read the book before you can find anything in it, because there is no "search" function, just a lousy "Index".Go to a local store and check out which one is best...and then if you desire it order it from Amazon.
My laptop has Windows 10 and I don't like Windows 10. I needed this book for my mental health! It's very helpful.
