Informative, well organized, well illustrated book. If you have an appreciation for knives or consider yourself a knife enthusiast, you will enjoy this excellent book. Highly recommended.
my son wants to learn to be a "man" which means taking care of your 'tools' ... your knives, guns, and workshop tools. he loves the book, and has almost finished it in the 10 days since he has gotten it.
Nothing new here folks. Nothing about using knives except a few how to knife fight tidbits. Very disappointed but at least it was cheap.

This is a book that is affordable and covers many areas of knife use. Blades, sharpening, use, and combat are all covered in this highly illustrated volume. This is not a 'how-to' manual of knife fighting or knife use, but it is a broad look at knives in general.If you are new to the hobby of cutlery (knives) or if you have been using a knife pasted down from great grandpa's military service days, you will find value here.
Learned a lot from this book and I think it covers everything I needed to know. This guy Len McDdougall know his stuff!
